Wales v South Africa

Venue: Millennium Stadium, Cardiff

Kick Off: 2:30pm

Referee: John Lacey (IRFU)

TV Coverage: Live on BBC One from 2pm

Wales play South Africa in the final match of the 2014 Dove Men Autumn International series at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday 29th November. The two teams will compete for the Prince William Cup, which was created by the WRU in 2007 to celebrate 100 years of rugby between these two great rugby nations.

Wales recently toured South Africa in the summer of 2014. Wales were well beaten in the first test in Durban, which ended 38-16. A dominant Wales led the second test in Nelspruit for 78 minutes until the Boks were awarded a late penalty try, which sealed a 31-30 victory for the hosts.

Wales have played South Africa on a total of 29 occasions, but have only beaten the Springboks once. That solitary victory came in 1999, in the first ever match to be played at the Millennium Stadium. Wales and South Africa also drew a match in 1970.
