Wales v France Match Reports

Wales came from behind to beat 14-man France by a single point in a thrilling World Cup quarter-final in Oita. France started brilliantly with Sebastien Vahaamahina and Charles Ollivon scoring tries within the first 10 minutes. Wales replied with a try from Aaron Wainwright, but France were back on the front foot when Virimi Vakatawa scored their third try after 30 minutes. After the break, a moment of madness from Vahaamahina saw him sent off for elbowing a Wales player in the head. Wales left it late to capitalise on their man advantage, but Ross Moriarty eventually went over for a try in the 74th minute. Dan Biggar converted and Wales held on to win by a single point.
