Ireland's third pool match at Rugby World Cup 2019 will be against Russia at the Kobe Misaki Stadium on Thursday 3rd October.

Ireland and Russia have only played each other on two previous occasions; in a World Cup qualifier in 2002 and during the pool stages of the 2011 edition of the tournament. Ireland won those matches 35-3 and 62-12 respectively.

Russia qualified for this year's World Cup after Spain, Belgium and Romania were all sanctioned for fielding ineligible players.
