Ireland will face Italy at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday 10th August as part of the Guinness Summer Series. This will be the first of four warm-up matches to be played by Ireland prior to Rugby World Cup 2019.

Ireland came from behind to beat Italy 26-16 during this year's Six Nations.

Ireland and Italy have contested a total of 30 rugby test matches since their first meeting in 1988. Ireland have won 26 of those matches, whilst Italy have won four matches.
