Summer Internationals 2026
The traditional summer rugby tours undertaken by the home unions will be replaced by a new 'Nations Championship' tournament in 2026, featuring six rounds of matches plus a finals weekend, played across both the Summer and Autumn International windows.
The new tournament is to be played every two years – in between Rugby World Cup and Lions Tour years – and will feature six northern hemisphere teams vs six southern hemisphere teams.
The 2026 edition of the tournament is scheduled to begin on Saturday 4th July, with the first of three rounds of fixtures to be played in the southern hemisphere.
