Scotland v Italy Match Reports

An experimental Scotland side beat Italy 25-13 in the first match of their World Cup warm-up series at Murrayfield. The home side were first on the scoreboard when Darcy Graham touched down a Ben Healy crossfield kick. Italy, however, struck back with two Tommaso Allan penalty kicks to take a slender 6-5 lead at half-time. Scotland came out strongest after the break, but initially struggled to get through the Italy defence. Ben Healy eventually put the home side back in the lead with a penalty kick in the 48th minute. Darcy Graham grabbed a second try when he dived over in the 56th minute. Monty Ioane scored a try for Italy just after the hour mark, which Tommaso Allan converted to cut the deficit to 2-points. Ben Healy struck a second penalty kick to give Scotland some breathing space with five minutes remaining. Josh Bayliss then secured the win with a try in the final minute of the match.
