Ireland will face Wales at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday 7th September in the second match of a double-header between the two Celtic rivals. The match has been scheduled to act as a warm-up for Rugby World Cup 2019 and forms part of the Guinness Summer Series.

Ireland were beaten 25-7 by Wales as they sealed a Grand Slam in this year's Six Nations.

To date, Ireland and Wales have contested a total of 127 rugby test matches since their first meeting in 1882. Wales have won 69 of those matches, whilst Ireland have won 51 matches. There have also been seven drawn matches between the two teams.
