New Zealand v England Match Reports

The All Blacks battled to a 24-17 victory over England in the second Test to continue a 30-year unbeaten run at Eden Park in Auckland. England will feel it was a lost opportunity after leading into the third quarter when New Zealand started to turn the screw. The All Blacks made the best of a fast-paced start when Mark Tele'a scored a try in the corner in the 11th minute. Moments later, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso collected a Marcus Smith cross-field kick to reply for England in spectacular fashion. At the end of the first half, Smith put in another cross-field kick, this time for Tommy Freeman to collect and touch down. Smith then kicked a tricky conversion to put the tourists into a 14-13 halftime lead. After the break, Smith nudged his team further ahead with a penalty kick. The momentum shifted when Tele'a got his brace just after the hour mark to put the All Blacks back into a slender lead. Damian McKenzie kicked two further penalties to extend that lead as errors started to creep into England's play. England saw a promising attack in the final minutes snuffed out as New Zealand defended their line for a deserved victory. A selection of match reports is listed below:
