Argentina v South Africa Match Reports
South Africa edged Argentina 29-27 at Twickenham to claim their first-ever back-to-back Rugby Championship title. The Pumas struck first with a try from Bautista Delguy, converted by full-back Santiago Carreras, who also added two penalties as Argentina built an early lead. But tries either side of half-time from Cobus Reinach and Malcolm Marx put the Springboks in front. Both Reinach and Marx completed their braces before the hour mark, extending South Africa's lead to 16-points. Delguy cut the deficit with a second try in the 66th minute, and Rodrigo Isgró touched down from a cross-field kick in the final play of the match – but it was the Springboks who held on to take the win and secure the title.
